Lauren and Steve were married on a very hot day earlier in the year. Their wedding and reception was on a beautiful mountain side in the Yarra Valley. The place was called Mount View Estate. Their day had a festive feel to it. I tried to incorporate the beautiful surrounds as much as I could into their day.
Here are some pictures from their wedding.

Alex is 7 months old now. I can’t believe how fast she is growing up. She made her first trip to a swimming pool whilst we were away at Lorne. Being a big fan of the bath, Alex took to the pool like a kid in a candy store. She loved it!
She has also begun crawling. Well, she looks more like a baby turtle heading toward water, propelling herself more with her arms in order to move. But once in a while she will stop, lift her head up and revel in her efforts, cracking this huge smile.
Mummy bought me my first swim suit.
Show off!

Too cute!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Matt and Natalie’s wedding day. It was held in Geelong and Torquay, where Matt grew up. The clouds were hovering overhead for most of the day, but thankfully, the rain held out.
I think we made the most of the dim lighting during the afternoon by selecting fantastic locations to contrast the couple with. The pier was a photographers dream. The water was still and provided a soft backdrop for our shots. We also made an unplanned stop at a dirt road along the highway, which provided a true ”Aussie countryside” setting, with a horse stealing the show. And we made it to the beach as the sun set into the horizon for a great end to the day.
Here are a few shots from the day.

Alexandra is now 13 weeks old.
One of her favourite parts of the day is bath time.
She loves having a bath so much that when she gets in, she kicks her legs around, making the water splash everywhere. She does this whilst having a huge grin on her face.
Its so priceless that I had to capture it on the camera.
How’s my bubble bath mohawk looking?

Opps, its time to get out! But I don’t think she wants to.

I feel so much better now that I’ve washed my hair.
No more mohawk.
I’m still CUTE though.

I recently took photos for a group of families that knew each other through a Mothers group. They thought it would be a great idea to get the kids together for a photo session. Its always a challenge to organise groups of kids for a one off photo, but we made it fun and the kids were great.
I ended up taking a group photo of them all and then spent a short period of time with each family at the park.
Below are some images from the day.

Jaime and Anthony reside in Singapore. But they came back to Melbourne to get married recently at an art gallery in Port Melbourne.
Their wedding was a laid back, but romantic affair. Both had a fun and vibrant personality which made their day easy and which shone through in their photos.
Its always nice to receive good feedback from Clients. I posted theirs in my testimonials section on my website. Here are some clips from their wedding in a Port Melbourne art gallery.

People have been asking me for updated pictures of Alexandra. So here are some recent favourites. She is now 4kg and has put on a total of 800 grams since birth, plus growing at least 5 cm in length. She definitely gets her looks and cuteness from her mum. But she’s placid like me at least.

I recently had the pleasure of taking photos for Bree, Peter and little Johnny. Johnny was only 2 years old. But he had a very outgoing personality. It was very apparent that there was a special bond between him and his parents. It makes taking photos so much easier when you see this happen.
Playing peek a boo with me.

Its moments like these that make a difference.
Simple and natural moments.

A face you can’t say no to

When I first met Audrey, she was a quiet and shy 22 month old. However, her mum assured me to give her 10 minutes and she would liven up. And that she did. She giggled her way through this photo session.

My wife and I welcomed a new addition to our family, Alexandra Sophie Kwan. She was born on Friday, 22nd of Feb. My wife endured a long labour, but as she keeps telling me, it was well worth it in the end. She is over the moon that she now has a daughter. As you can see, she sleeps alot. Wakes up and eats and then goes back to sleep whilst eating! The last picture below, was taken 5 minutes after she was born, whilst she was being weighed. She had her eyes wide open and looking at us the moment she came out into the world. We are truly blessed.
